I designed this magazine cover using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator as a personal project. This project took me about 3 hours to complete. The most time consuming portion was cutting out the model. The inspiration for this project came from a YouTube critique video I recently watched. It discussed various projects that are usually assigned to design students, and the magazine cover is one of the most common ones. I thought it would be interesting to give it a try, and I wanted to add some variety to my portfolio.
Design Love Heart
I designed this image using Adobe Illustrator as a first draft of a design I wanted to use on a Mother’s Day card. This project took me about 3 hours to complete. The inspiration for the project came from a YouTube tutorial I saw on how to create swirls in Illustrator several years ago when I first started with graphic design. I wanted to revisit swirls since I hadn’t made them in years.
Quoted Business Card
I designed this business card using Adobe Illustrator to accompany my quotation themed resume. This project took me about 2 hours to complete. The inspiration for the project came from the watercolor vector art I’d seen on various design websites a few months ago. I loved the way it gives a 2D flat look, but still provides enough dimension to be interesting.
Happy Birthday Latke
